Going to the weekly knitting café obviously has more benefits other that meeting a lot of nice peolpe and knitting. Sometimes you go home with a bag of homemade cinnamon and almond paste rolls (kanel och mandelmassebullar)! Thank you so much Gunilla for the delicious bullar! I ate them last night with tea while watching "The Midsomer Murders"
I went by Wincent
yesterday to have a look at the new store (they recently moved). It was larger and felt brighter, I hope that the move is an improvement for them. I had a look at the latest magazine, no 40
, and was happy to see that there weren't as many weird things in this as in the last two (which were quite awful to tell you the truth). I'm definitely buying this one once they get them (this was just a preview copy). I had considered renewing my my Rowan International membership, but the price has gone up horridly, and just don't think it's worth it. I'd rather buy the magazines after I've seen them and decided I like them or not. The other benefits of being a member aren't good enough to motivate such a membership fee either. I also wanted to see what Wincent had left of the Yorkshire Tweed, since that yarn is being discontinued (sadly). They did have some, but not a whole lot. I bought six balls (what was left) of 4-ply in a lovely fern colour. I really like yorkshire tweed, especially the 4-ply, but haven't had a chance to knit with it yet, but I'm sure I will like it.I have no idea what to do with them yet
Back issues of Phildar with loads of cable patterns
Tina ordered these magazines for me, they are full of wonderful cable patterns, including the Colchique I'm working on.
